Thanks, Jillian, and thanks to everyone at the Hideaway for, apparently, being awesome. I just might be the only citizen of Minneapolis who has never visited Portland, (which in turn is the only city to outbike us), but it’s good to know there’s a barstool waiting for me when I finally make it out there.

As a bartender at the Hideaway in Portland and someone who’s done extensive volunteer work in the school system, I can confidently say that we adore teachers and pouring drinks for them. If anybody needs cheap drinks it’s our very under-appreciated public servants in No Child Left Behind purgatory. There’s a reason we do it on Thursdays! You guys do it for the kids and we’ll do it for the adults…it only seems fair.
